Quarantine concerts | Bon Iver at Melt Festival (2019)
I've been a fan of Justin Vernon for years and years. Ever since he released For Emma, Forever Ago, I became entangled in his strange lyrics and weird compositions as if I'm listening to poems mixed with amazing music. The first time I saw him perform live music was at the now infamous Hollywood Cemetery concert. I thought that it was remarkable, amazing, unique. I could go on and on.
He's the kind of musician that pours every little bit of soul into his songs, capturing the essence of what music should be: an amalgam of our emotions and catapult of dreams and ideas.
I've been lucky to seem the band twice and I was going to see them again this month but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert was delayed until next year. So for now, I have the next best thing.
